caz, I could have gone all day without that little reminder.
I think we ought to have Christmas every five years, and really do it up; then there'd be something to look forward to. But I, like many other wives and mothers, have to do all the work while others get to sit around the kitchen table.
I LOVE Christmas! I'm looking forward to it but I'm nutty like that. There's something so magical about Christmas. And I'm looking forward to it more this year because I was sick last year and didn't get a chance to celebrate. ::prays to the gods that illness doesn't rear its ugly head::
Irish commented the other day about seeing her first Christmas advert and of course the next day I saw mine. Its starting earlier and earlier. And we haven't had Halloween yet. Used to be the madness started after Thanksgiving here. Those days are long gone.
Aaaagggghhhh...don't mention that word! I can see myself under heavy pressure this year from my mother to cook Christmas dinner for the whole family, which is about the last thing I want to do. I also have to cope with my husband's yearly honing of his impersonation of Ebenezer Scrooge to even greater peaks of perfection. I used to love Christmas...
59 days? Dear God! We realised the other day that we're officially in week 4 of our first term. Halfway through. That's a quarter of the actual work we have to do for first year (third term is revision and exams). Scary stuff.
Do you put money in the puddings caz? I don't eat christmas pudding so I always missed out on the potential riches (well, a $2 coin) but I really liked the idea.

But it's all vastly overrated these days. It were much better when I were a kid.

*Tries desperatly to hide the 100 or so boxes of wrap she is trying to flog to the unsuspecting customers at work*
Wrap? Wrap? No wrap here. Don't know what you are talking about ;-)

I thought Prime Minister Hugh Grant and his chauffeur did it up pretty nicely in Love, Actually!
But how often do they come to my door? Not nearly often enough. Well, okay, never, but still...
