These are lovely, and your Rochester certainly looks nothing like the one I live in! It always excites me to go inside castles and imagine the people who were the original inhabitants. They seem so timeless.

And your daughter's footwear is positively sedate compared to DT's Superman Converse and Friday socks! I love an independant spirit--hooray for her!
