I am somewhat embarrassed that I have spent so much time and emotional energy thinking about this!

I never planned this to be a conversation about all of the events of that day, because I think they would probably have already talked about all that, and doing it here would have felt unnatural - like exposition for exposition's sake, if you see what I mean.
When you look at the expressions on their faces at the end of The Cold they are both, IMO anyway, resigned, rather than pissed off. Donna is looking at Josh with a sort of "oh well" expression - she certainly doesn't look angry, and as for Josh, well that look in his eyes could have melted glass! *goes to happy place*. She saw that, and I would defy any woman not to have realised he wanted her. Which was why I had her say the thing about knowing it wasn't a no, just a "not now".
