I'm sure there's a lot more to dig out of Sorkin's little oft-repeated visual shorthand, here. I think it's a way to reveal compatibility, both sexual and otherwise, and the fact that Harry can't do it, no matter which way she turns Matt...but she wants to, and claims she can...
They may 'get together' in the last episode, but if it had gone further, there's no way Sorkin would leave it that way. I think M&H will always be 'the one that got away' for each other. People 'get away' for a reason, though, and given more time, I think Sorkin could have revealed some lusciously complex storylines. Over entire seasons.
