Sorry - spammy! Update on the Studio 60 "Thank You" ad.

I'm sure most of you've seen this but...

Art is getting its ass kicked. Help NOLA to revive its musical culture.

... now we've raised the money for the ad, anything you want(ed) to contribute is going straight to Tipitina's Foundation.

I was so busy squeeing and doing stupid Josh-style victory dances when we reached the target yesterday that I forgot to say anything about it.

So I'm doing it now and want to encourage you to give what you can.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] digitalred93, "[livejournal.com profile] coloneljack and [livejournal.com profile] hooloovoo_42 are just the greatest bunch of crazy women it has ever been my privilege to know and work with. But we're not done yet!

We're still waiting for the actors to approve the ad (and yes, [livejournal.com profile] coloneljack has already voluteered to sort Brad out in person - *rolls eyes* - yeah, I thought you'd be surprised... ) but once it's done we'll put it somewhere you can see it.
And we're also continuing with our efforts to raise awareness of Tipitina's - there's a press release doing the rounds and we've had some interest from the media, so we're not bowing out quite yet! More details as soon as things are finalised.

Sorry for teh spam - but it's for a good cause!

Well, kudos to you for your diligence, I must say. I have experience with image approval stuff in my professional life and it is not fun. (Here is also where I wag the cane and say, "In my day, when fans took out an ad in the Hollywood Reporter for The X-Files 100th episode, we just used simple text and stock art!" Hee.)

Yeah, it can be a pain, you're right - I used to work in PR in the music biz, so I know what a headache it can be.

I consider myself wagged at! You'll be quoting Monty Python next... ;)
