Yeah - but then I guess having Brad go ga-ga over a leading lady that looked as though she'd just gone nine rounds with Tyson wouldn't have been such a good idea either!

I can buy that she was attracted to him from the start - for God's sake, who wouldn't be?! - but to have said she wanted to marry him from the start... but it was sweet, and it was a minor niggle. It didn't spoil things for me.
And as for the turning down after Christmas, I can explain that as her being worried about the way it looked, to have him asking all those influential friends to bombard her with recommendations, at a time when not long ago she'd been on pretty shaky ground, job wise.
