Outcasts

Well, that was an interesting start. It's pretty obvious who the "outcasts" are though - or is that too simple? There's clearly some big mystery surrounding C23 (or whatever it was) and its victims which I imagine is going to show that all is not as it seems with President Tate and his minions.

Some of the acting was a bit wooden - which is odd, considering the quality of the acting talent in the cast, and there was definitely some clunky dialogue in there, too. Daniel Mays was fab, and it was interesting to see Jamie Bamber cast against type (although they did manage to put him in a sleeveless vest for a good portion of the episode!).

The design and the FX are good, and as first episodes go, it intrigued me enough for me to want to watch the second one tomorrow.

I haven't watched it yet but I'm definitely going to give it a go. I'm surprised the acting is a bit wooden as I thought the cast alone was worth tuning in for.

I think maybe it was just suffering from "first episode" syndrome. There's a lot of exposition and lots of characters to be introduced. I mean, it wasn't horrible and I'm hoping it'll get better. The second episode is tonight, btw.
