And nobody does proper carol singing any more.

I thought Prime Minister Hugh Grant and his chauffeur did it up pretty nicely in Love, Actually!

But how often do they come to my door? Not nearly often enough. Well, okay, never, but still...

You know, a group of friends and I used to go carolling - "proper" carols, four-part harmony and everything - every year (for charity). I think we kept it up for about 10 years, but of course after a while we moved away and it stopped. But I still have very fond memories of it... *sniff*
