1. Do you prefer teaching secondary or primary?
2. Have you always lived where you do now, and if not, where are you from?
3. Coke or Pepsi?
4. Summer 2008 - do you predict a scorcher or a wash-out?
5. Do you have any pets?
1. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. I trained to teach Secondary age kids, and when I'm teaching GCSE and A level (which I haven't been able to do for a while) I feel as though I'm teaching the stuff I know and that I can be very thorough and go into more depth about the subject than I can with younger pupils. Having said that though, this year teaching Primary has been great fun - there are fewer behavioural problems with the kids (although there are still a few!) and their enthusiasm for the subject and for their lessons has been amazing. Ideally, I'd love to have the behaviour of the youngsters while teaching the subject at a higher level.
2. I'm a Londoner born and bred. Although my birth certificate says "Essex" - I was born in Walthamstow in North East London (it was classified as Essex back in the early 60s!). I lived in and around that area until I went to University, but then settled back there afterwards when I got married. That didn't work out, unfortunately, and when I got together with the current Mr Caz, we moved to North London. After I had Elinor, we decided it would make sense for us to move somewhere cheaper - my parents had lived here for a while (here being by the North East Essex coast) so we knew the area. And here we are!
3. Hm. Do you know, I don't think I could tell the difference? But I like Pepsi Max :-)
4. Oh, I'm British and as such am always pessimistic about the weather! Another washout. I hope to be proved wrong!
5. Two cats, Mimi and Tippi. Both just mogs.
As before, if you want to ask, or to be asked, just comment :)
