Things could be looking up...

In that it looks like there just may be a job for me at the school I'm at after all! There had been a very slight possibility of something coming up part-time (which could still work for me, depending on the hours), and it now looks as though that is in fact going to happen. One of my colleagues wants to start working 2 days a week, which means I could work the other 3... although I don't wanna jump the gun here, cos I still have to apply for the job and everything, which is a real pain in the bum, but I'd think I'd have to do something pretty damn dumb to not get it!
The other possibility is that this could end up as a full time job, but I'd have to teach another subject for the remaining time (which many teachers do anyway, but just for 3 or 4 periods a week - this would be the equivalent of 2 days per week). Music is a shortage subject here (believe it or not) - meaning there is a shortage of music teachers - as is stuff like maths, science, languages, English etc... and to be honest, I could probably teach any one of those, because I studied all (except languages) at A level (even though it was a LOOOOONG time ago! *g*).
So now, I have to go off and write an application (yuk!)
