Nothing really...
Jul. 22nd, 2006 05:16 pmI meant to post yesterday, but then I got distracted by a thing (for which I blame
ozzyols entirely.)
Fangirling at 4am was an entirely new experience for me!
Anyway, it was the end of term yesterday, which meant the end of the academic year, and the end of my time at the school I've been at since September. It's going to feel weird for a few days, I expect, not going to work - although I expect I'll get used to it ;).
I'll really miss it, actually. I was very lucky to be training and working in a nice school - not that it's particularly "upmarket" or anything, because it's not, just a normal comprehensive, but the staff were great, there was no crappy politics (at least, not at my level) and everyone was really generous with their time and advice. I hope I end up working somewhere like that eventually.
And I'm still thinking about the job I do have, and trying to weigh up in my head whether it's going to be worth it financially. The hourly rate is OK, although I don't get a travel allowance, and I'll need to see whether the fact I'll be travelling between schools will affect my car insurance. And I have to speak to the tax office about the changes... booooring!
And I have been using this icon EVERYWHERE (thank you
lina_lamont218)... because it's soooo yummy and it makes me very happy!
