Poor Frinton! It's really rather nice, it just has a reputation of being a bit... eccentric. For years, it was known as the only place in the UK that didn't have a pub! That changed a few years ago, not that I've ever been to it!
The beach is lovely though and great for the kids. So clearly, the Doctor really needs to save us. And then he can whisk me away... *g*
