The fic recs continue...

caz963Amazing as it may seem, I’ve managed to dig up a few more fic recs.
My guilty secret (well, not so much any more!) is that I'm a bit of sucker for "someone else watches Josh and Donna" fics... here are a couple of good ones. No Denial Changes Things by![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lordessrenegade; and thanks to saffron for reminding me about this one - It Was Never The History She Remembered, by Sharon; in this case the someone watching is Amy, but it's not an evilAmy fic.
I’ve uploaded two more fics by Pix here The Arrangement – She Said and its companion piece, The Arrangement – He Said. There are a lot of "Josh gets drunk and propositions Donna" fics out there, but these are the other way around – Donna gets drunk and maudlin… and Josh is a gentleman!
Also, I stumbled across this rather sweet and fluffy fic at the JDFF list – it’s called The History Lesson, by Tallos 35 and can be found at message numbers #15323, #15324, #15325 and #15326. For some strange reason, Josh acquires a new desk and finds an old diary hidden inside. The diary was written over a century before by someone doing a similar job. And that’s not the only parallel…
And staying with the stumbling, here’s Bad Ideas by Allison, a prequel to The Company of Women, which I recommended a few posts back.
Another Josh-centric fic is Roads, by A.j - a post-ep for King Corn. And by the same writer, here’s a little piece of fluff, set post S6 in a universe where Bingo Bob won the election - Wednesday Afternoon.
Back to the Josh angst - In he Way He Should Go by Marguerite isn't a JD story - in it, Josh meets Joanie's girlhood friend for the first time in years. And Dies Irae is a post ep for Disaster Relief in which Donna gives Leo a piece of her mind!
I also wanted to recommend her In Parting (warning - character death). It's a future fic, wherein the former Bartlet staffers gather to say their goodbyes. As with all her fic, these are all beautifully written.
I was sure I’d mentioned this story before, when I rec’d the rest of Ygrawn’s JD fics, but somehow, I missed it - Patience, Precision and Love - Donna’s mother teaches her daughter a lesson about ironing (!)… but only metaphorically!
A Leo McGarry Legacy by manic penguin is set after Election Day II (and I'm guessing was written before Requiem or Transition). This is a new author, I think, and it's a pretty good fic (although there are a few minor niggles) - well worth a read if you haven't already come across it.
And I think it's time for a bit more smut, so here are a couple of recent fics by llorin - Again, which is a post ep for Election Day in which the awkwardness between Josh and Donna is disappearing and Intoxication, which is set early S6. (Thanks to clettie for reminding me about that one.) I have to say, Donna does quite a bit of screaming and crying in llorin's fics, but I can forgive that, because the smut is generally pretty hot!
And here's Yana's In Bed ... just because I like it!
And finally, if you haven't already seen coffeeplease's Sanity and Salads get over there and read it NOW. It's set at the end of S4 after Life on Mars, and it's Josh and Toby talking about... well, various things... but it's a cp Josh and Toby fic! (*bounces up and down*!)
I’m sorry it’s a bit of a short list this week, but real life has intervened and shortened my fic searching time! Also, I think I've recommended most of the good stuff by now! Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to find, and I'll do my best. At some point, I'll do a round up of sites so all the links are in one handy place... although I think that's a job for the Summer holidays!
