For that matter, I thought Jenny was doing the same thing as Mace, defining something as a weapon that was not a weapon, in order to make a "see, you're no better than me" point.
But I do think that though their method was flawed, there was something valid in what both were saying. I wouldn't call the Doctor a "soldier", as Jenny did, but he *is* a warrior, in a metaphorical sort of way.
