I liked River better when she was a bit of mystery. The more I learn about her, the less I like her. RTD gave us the Doctor/Rose love story which was, at least in his eyes and for many fans an epic, dramatic love story. And it seems to me that SM wants to top this romance at all costs with something more special, more epic, more awesome = River Song. Meh!
