Yeah, I've about reached the end of my rope with 24 as well. Really, I know going in that the plot's going to be largely implausible, but this season has taken it to new and frankly absurd heights.
Frankly, I'd think that in 24's 'AU' United States no one would actually want to be elected President--they seem to have a bad habit of being assassinated.
