Hell, I'd have settled for the wit, the dimples and the rest of that package - sod the diamond! (Yes, I'm that pwned. Although actually, I don't really care for jewellery!)
And, yes, I loved the part where he rushed past her room and then came in trying to look cool! Oh, Danny... I have no idea how he does the dork/hot thing, but I was reminded when you said that of a comment Linz made about Josh in - I think it was my first fic ever - something like "yup, dork to sexy as sin in ten seconds" (one of these days I'll have to post a fic with her comments on - they're hilarious!)
But seriously, did anyone really think Jordan was going to say no?
Complex characters make me happy, too - I think Jack is the ultimate pragmatist really. He knows exactly what's what and does have ideals but knows they just don't fit in the world in which he operates. I'm not going to go so far as to say he's the one trying to fix things from the inside, but you can tell that he definitely knows the difference between what's "good" and what "sells". Remember in - was it the Xmas show? When he says he doesn't watch reality TV - but he loves it? That summed him up for me.
That's the beauty of fic, I guess - it means we can work out the things that weren't explained to our satisfaction! (And thank you!)
