In front of a class of seven and eight year olds this afternoon, I had to tell off three boys for being silly.

I started to call out - "Sam! Josh! Toby! - " and that was as far as I got before I had to turn around and force myself to stop laughing.

Just as well Amy wasn't in that group ...

Were there any turkeys involved?

Do I have to start calling you Leo?

What happened? Did they encounter the guy droppin' off the turkeys?

Okay, so I was also going to make a turkey comment, but I'm thinking that one's been beaten to death...

The comment, not the turkey. *g*

Were they checking out like seniors through with finals?

Hopping on the backs of all the turkey comments, I'm wondering if maybe they're silly due to lack of sleep. It takes a lot to be students during the day, and pilgrim detectives by night - especially when their little heads are swimming in those big hats...

Honestly, it was the biggest laugh I had all day. But not such a good idea when I was trying to tell them off!

Yes, I know! (Although my two weren't intentional!)

Honestly, I've got one class containing, 2 Brads, a Josh and an Amy (the last two consecutively on the register), several with at least one Sam and one Josh and then this one with all four!

I had a Jed, a Josh and a Sam last year. Not had a Toby or a Leo yet.

I know - I have to try hard not to snicker when I'm taking the register. And then like I said upthread, there's the class with the Josh and the Amy one after the other... oh the things that amuse me ;-)

Brilliant!

I once had a similar thing. Mine was - "Amy, leave Donna and Joshua alone while they work!"

*chuckles*

Oh my God, that is so funny!

If I was put in that situation, I would have to go into the hallway to laugh! :)

I substitute teach and had a 9 year old put Fred instead of his real name on my seating chart...I told him he was on my list and called him Fred for the rest of the day. I had a hard time calling on him without laughing.
