There’s been a bit of a dearth of new fic coming out lately, but here’s the best of what there has been:

Expecting by

quaggy_mire is, to put mildly absolutely wonderful. It’s that rare fic- something which takes a familiar premise – in this case, Josh, Donna and kids - but approaches it from a different angle. It’s beautifully written, and a MUST READ if you haven’t already.

cantbesilent has written a couple of new “Josh, Donna and domesticity” fics, which I really enjoyed – The dialogue is excellent and I love the little details.
In Birthday Cards and a Vacuum Cleaner Donna has requested an… unusual… gift for her birthday, and in Guest Towels Josh and Donna are getting nervous about a visit from Donna’s parents.

bexatious posted a lovely post-Transition story as well - The Life Worth Living”.

akalettucehead posted a wonderfully angsty-Josh fic this week, too, White Out, wherein Donna thinks she might be pregnant (by Jack) and Josh works through the mean thoughts in his head. I’m really glad she’s going back and writing fic set in earlier seasons – keep it up, girl!! *g*

In The Truth at 2am by

imperviousness Josh and Donna watch “The X-Files” and Josh in particular is incredulous that it took SEVEN SEASONS for anything to happen between Mulder and Scully! (Oh, Josh!)

A very good, but not so fluffy fic by

elphie15 takes a look at Josh and Donna’s marriage, 7 years down the line, and things aren’t looking so good. It Seems Like Forever That You’ve Been Gone. It’s well written and angsty. A sequel has been posted, but I have to say I’m not such a fan of that one, sorry.

I realised I haven’t rec’d any of the fics by ScullyasTrinity - here are a my favourites of hers - Reconstruction, which is quite angsty, Be Enough which is slightly smutty (!) and Nice Day which is fluffy!
Another prolific fanfic author I haven’t mentioned yet either is Jaye Reid. Friendly Skies is a nice, fluffy JD friendship fic.

This is one I meant to recommend before and forgot about - The Green Minivan and the Super Swedish Safety Car by Canne which is over at ff.net.

spinylobster asked me for angsty Josh/Donna accidental one night stands or drunken sex where Donna ends up pregnant and lots of angst ensues fic. The one that immediately sprang to mind was Jo and Ryo’s A Fractured Fairytale series – although it’s not a drunken one night stand - the premise is that they have sex on the night of the first Inauguration, but realise that they can't have a relationship. Then in part three, they.... celebrate the 1 year anniversary and the pregnancy is a result of that. But they don't get together in the end, and Donna doesn't keep the baby, so if it's angst you want, there's plenty there!

irish_tv for finding this one - The Morning After, BUT it’s not finished. I don’t tend to link to unfinished pieces here, but if you want to read it please bear that in mind. The other one I was thinking of was called Dire Straights, which was also up at ff.net, but it seems to have been taken down. (thanks to clettie for reminding me of the title!). There seem to be more “Donna gets pregnant by some gomer and Josh picks up the pieces” fics out there, like Namesakes and the My Father, My Dad series. If I come across any more, I’ll let you know!
