Hot? Or not...

Last night, my fellow DFGs and I embarked upon a very serious discussion as to the hotness - or otherwise - of a number of the objects of our fangirlish affections.

And by serious, I mean we threw an obscene amount of pretty around teh interwebz!

Needless to say, there was some agreement and some discord, mostly about the fact that Fenny and I are rather 'meh' about Nathan Fillon - but it just goes to show how true the old adage is. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.

It also gives me the excuse to post pictures of a stupendous amount of pretty and hotness.

And, you know, some other blokes who aren't David Tennant.



I find myself frequently making a distinction between "hot and pretty" and just "pretty". The number of blokes who melt my brain into a pile of lust-filled, fangirly goo is quite small; but there are quite a few others at whom I will quite happily stare for an hour or so a week!

So without further ado, here's a selection of the latter from the shows I manage to watch each week:



White Collar is a lot of fun with a really entertaining and well-written relationship between the male leads. That they're both pretty easy on the eyes doesn't hurt though :-)



Leverage has gone downhill a bit lately, but it's still fun and there's plenty of snappy banter. Oh. And Christian Kane.



I never really got into BSG, but now I can appreciate Mr Bamber in Law and Order UK



Said appreciation also extends to Ben Daniels



Fringe is probably my favourite US show right now - and Pacey was always my favourite character in Dawson's Creek!



I feel like a pervy old cradle-snatcher for putting these two in as I'm more than old enough to be their mum - but I'm sure there are people around here who will appreciate them, too!

Maybe not as pretty as the rest, but quite compelling nonetheless ;-)

When it comes to mind-numbing hotness though, my list is fairly short.

Oh, Brad is really the reason that the DFGs (Demented FanGirls) came into being. coloneljack, hooloovoo_42, zinke and digitalred93 and I all met up in NY in the summer of 2008 (where he was appearing in a play), having all met online a couple of years before through our mutual love for The West Wing.

Well, no collection of hawt is complete without David, is it?

I keep trying to dig Christian Kane these days -- I like his character on Leverage -- but I would like to give him soap and a good scrubbing. Sadly, not in a clean to get dirty way. :( I liked him better clean shaven, as Lindsey in Angel.

I have no idea who those two....erm....guys in suits are.

Those guys are Bradley James and Colin Morgan from Merlin - Colin was in Midnight shortly before he ladned the part of Merlin. Way too young for me, but nice to look at nonetheless.

I have to admit that I sometimes feel the same way about Christian Kane. But he cleans up nice :)

It's not that I don't want NF - and I can see he's attractive. He just don't float my boat in the way that some of the others do.

I guess it's the same for you with DT - I think he's the sexiest man on the planet and you think - "Meh. Tall, skinny Scottish bloke."

I'll say hell-yeah! to Tim Roth even though since he's become one of the producers of Lie to Me I think the show has taken a turn for the worse.

Oooh! Lots of nice pretty here! Especially when we get towards the end there. *g* They both fill out a pair of jeans very nicely. As for VotD Ten in a tux...you were saying something? I got distracted.

I started watching Leverage for Christian Kane since I loved him from Angel. (Though Nate has become my favorite there, I still love Elliot as well.) You know I appreciate Tim Roth -- plenty pretty enough for me even at 50! Yum.

Oh, and since you never got into BSG, have my Lee icon to see what you were missing!

I have to say that I've got a soft spot for Nate, too - I should have put a pic of Tim Hutton in there, shouldn't I? Very remiss of me.

I've seen that image of Jamie Bamber before, but hey, I'm not gonna complain 'cause - guh! Sadly, he doeesn't get to take his shirt off in L&O UK, but there is still much pretty to be appreciated.
