I think this icon meme has been going around for a while, but I've not done it yet. I gakked it from
time_converges
It goes like this:
Choose five of my userpics and I’ll tell you something about them. You can comment if you want without opting to play, but if you do want to, say so and I’ll choose five of yours.
Here are the ones she chose.

1. “Busted”. Oh, The West Wing, how I do love thee. TWW is the first show I got well and truly fannish about and it’s pretty much the reason I’m here at LJ. This particular icon was made by my good friend and fellow fangirl
coloneljack, and it's Josh and Donna, the show's "non-couple-couple" for six-and-a-half seasons. From the Pilot episode, it was clear that the actors themselves had incredible chemistry together and this was mined further as the years went on, as they snarked each other, comforted each other and understood each other in a way that nobody else did. At last, in the seventh and final series of the show, they snogged each other to within an inch of their lives and a couple of episodes later ended up in bed together. "Busted" indicates that they'd thought that the fact they'd sneaked of for some "afternoon delight" on election day had gone unnoticed. It hadn't :-)

2. Ma-nah-ma-nah!
It's the Muppets! And it's the Ma-nah-ma-nah song! Is any other explanation necessary? I just wanted something fun and silly. And this is it.

3. Donna looking up. by
cheesygirl, who makes fab DW/DT icons.
I have a truckload of Ten, Donna and Ten & Donna icons, but I think this was one of the first Donna "solo" ones I uploaded. I was a fan of Catherine Tate's before she appeared in DW, but watching her as Donna was the first time I'd looked at her and realised how attractive she is. And her hair in that shot (from Planet of the Ood) is just gorgeous.

4. "The Oncoming Storm" (the pic is from The Poison Sky) - this one's by
brontide, another of my favourite DW icon makers.
Do I need to explain this one? I mean, seriously - how hot is Ten in that shot?

5. "You can't scare me - I'm a teacher!"
I think that says it all, really. That's what I am when I'm not being a screaming fangirl, and it's a tough job. There are times, dealing with the things I deal with day in, day out, when I really do feel as though there's nothing more that could possibly happen to astonish me. Until the next day, when it does. You've got to be pretty thick-skinned to teach these days, especially in the sorts of schools I work in, and it definitely takes a lot to scare me!
