I'm sure a lot of you will have heard about this; it's just terrible, and I guess as the days go past, the hope that this little girl will be safely returned to her family is fading. There are very few leads, but perhaps, if these links and information can be widely circulated, someone, somewhere, might come forward with information that could help Madeleine and her family.

I know my flist isn't huge but lj is and I'm asking if we could try and use the power of the internet to try and help this family. I imagine there is a slim to none chance that this little girl is still alive, but if we could get this out around the world, and particulary to Spain where they think she may have been taken then perhaps we could help end her parent's suffering. Portuguese police have launched an internet appeal for help in tracing missing three-year-old Madeleine McCann.

Madeleine's aunt, Philomena McCann, has also devised an email poster as she fears that Madeleine may have been taken to Spain where the girl's disappearance has generated less attention.

Portuguese police have already followed up 350 different leads, and it is hoped that the online campaign and poster will help to extend the reach of the appeal to as many people as possible, including holidaymakers who may have recently returned from Portugal, or may be intending to visit.

In the UK, the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre has asked anyone with information to contact the Portuguese police direct on 00 351 282 405 400 (international call rates apply) or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Please help by printing and circulating the poster and this article, or by sending it to anyone who may be able to help.

I was so sorry to hear about Madeleine in the news so days ago, it's something so terrible I can't begin to understand. I can't do a thing but I'll pray for her safe return home, although I can help you with your translation, yours was not bad at all, but it's my language and I can give you hand:
