Things Fall Apart...
Feb. 24th, 2006 11:20 pm... has just been on TV and I'd forgotten what a good episode it is. Jed being pissed over the Democratic Convention looking like it's going to turn into a pie fight was quite funny - as was that 'hide-behind-the-sofa-looking-through-your- fingers-moment when he stumbles upon Charlie leaving Zoe's room... heh!
Josh *sigh* - some great dorky moments - like when he bursts in on the Santos' who were clearly about to get it on... (interestingly in this scene it's Helen who's all for telling Bingo Bob where to stick his offer... whereas in more recent episodes, she's the one who appears to have been getting cold feet!) and then his "three feet on the floor at all times" comment. See, that, right there - a classic foot-in-mouth-Josh moment! And of course, finally the boy grows up and tells 'Dad' - "no" - Josh telling Leo that although he did advise Santos to take the VP slot (for the good of the party), he didn't agree with it, and wasn't going to try to change his mind. And of course, they're setting up the leak thing, which, quite frankly, I could care less about - other than as it affected Toby, of course. And of course, that bitter-sweet Josh and Donna moment at the bar... "How did you get so smart about all this?"
"I had a good teacher"
"Thanks"
"... I meant Will."
Josh's face there - priceless! It's pretty clear to me that she was cracking a joke, but that Josh wasn't sure how to take it, because there's a definite wince there... I know there are some who thought Donna was being mean, but I don't think so... I think she was trying to get back to the way they used to tease each other.
So, season finale next week, then, according to the Radio Times the other week, straight on to S7!
Still just over 2 weeks to go to the squeefest that will undoubtedly be "The Cold"... time is flying, and it'll be here soon enough - I'm not worried about that! I'm worried how I'm gonna make it through March 13th at work without screwing up big time because I'm thinking about something else!!
