Assorted Ramblings...

...because I passed my final formal lesson observation for this term (phew!) It's strange - I wasn't feeling nervous - but I did feel like I was unprepared... which I shouldn't, because it was the third time I've given that lesson this week. My brain is still doing strange things - probably still drowning in all the squee.
Anyway, it went very well, the lesson flew by, the kids did really well - and that's it for this term baby! And in fact, my assessor only had two very tiny things she wanted to point out to me afterwards - things for me to work on, which is very positive. So, I'm on course to qualify in July - all I have to do now is find another job for September! I'd really like to stay at the school I'm training at -it's local, I feel really happy and at home there, but I knew from the start that it was unlikely there'd be a job there for me at the end of the training year. So, I spent Tuesday this week looking up lots of school addresses and printing letters and cvs etc... all I have to do now is actually post the damn things!
In other news... Abigail has gone down with something nasty - so I'm trying to keep out of the way... I don't need lurgy before the end of term! Actually, considering I'm spending a vast amount of time these days mixing with a large number of snotty-nosed kids, I'm surprised I haven't picked up more germs! Maybe I'm developing an immunity (and now I'm tempting the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing...)

There is a lot of fanfic dross appearing suddenly (although not unexpectedly) in the wake of 7.13 - and I was appalled to see one fic (no names) which claimed to have been beta read by no less than TWO people... and there were spelling and grammar mistakes all over the place!
PUH!LEASE! Needless to say, I didn't make it to the end... if they were my betas, I'd've kicked their asses all over the schoolyard! (That or taken 'em out to the woodshed and introduced 'em to my trusty 2x4!)
I can't help it - I'm Tobyesque like that! *g*
